Chelmsford Women of Today

Purpose

As the local chapter of the Massachusetts Women of Today, our purpose is to contribute to the betterment of our community while providing leadership training and personal enrichment for our members.

Creed

Let us give generously our friendship to each other, or talents, ideas, labors and contributions to the betterment of the community, our hearts and assistance to the unfortunate and our attention to the great responsibilities that are ours as concerned citizens, dedicated to serving our community.

Membership

Membership is open to all persons at least 18 years of age. The United States Women of Today, our parent organization, has over 3600 members in 16 states nationwide.For further information please send enquiries to Dee Miller or Iva Mooney.

Activities

General

Internal: personal enrichment (effective speaking, effective writing), Focus on Women, Project Recognition, Team Building, Leadership Training, and S.T.E.P. (Success Through Enthusiastic Participation).

External: external programs are supported at the state and national levels through the Massachusetts Women of Today and the United States Women of Today, on a rotational/bid basis. Currently we support:.

Our local activities include fund-raising and other efforts in support of local charities and non-profit organizations:

Meetings

Chapter meetings(click for minutes) are held every month on the third Tuesday of each month [September to June] at the Adams Library in Chelmsford, starting at 7pm. Meetings involve a mixture of business, learning and fun. Numerous other events and activities are scheduled and run by the Chapter.

National meetings are held twice a year, a mid-year meeting in October and a year-end meeting in June. State Meetings are also held from time to time.
